Iveragh which is steeped in folklore with numerous place names in Iveragh -- Bealach Oisin and Lough Brin, bear testimony to the many tales of The Fianna, a legendary band of warriors of the third century AD. During the 19th century there are many colourful tales of The Liberator.
Iveragh is the largest peninsula in south western Ireland. A mountain range, the Macgillycuddy's Reeks, lies in the centre of the peninsula. Carrantuohill, its highest mountain, is also the highest peak in Ireland. As you look in the Far distance you can see Carrantuohill from here. Also you are looking at various town lands like Cahersiveen, Glenbeigh, Killorglin,and Killarney.
